Anniversary

Not too much crocheting or knitting going on lately, but there are many, many good reasons for that!

My husband finished the dining room addition last week, and here it is!  (Remember Thanksgiving?  This is pretty much the same view.)

On Friday, he and I drove two hours down to Atlantic City to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.  It was COLD, but we packed a lot of fun and good food into the weekend.  My parents were kind enough to stay with the kids, and we came home refreshed and renewed on Monday evening.

It's hard to believe we've been married so many years.  The older you get, the faster time flies.  But (and not just because you may read this, Honey!) I couldn't be happier with the life we've made together, and the fact that we still so enjoy each other's company.

We have a little more celebrating to do for the rest of this week.  Tonight is dinner with my parents, and our kids have something mysterious planned for Friday night.  There's a pair of socks waiting on the needles and a shawl languishing on its hook, but they'll still be there next week.  Right now I'm just enjoying family and fun and cherishing 25 years with the love of my life!
