A Favorite Thing: Keys to Happiness

One of the most meaningful books I've ever read was Keys to Happiness (A Reader's Digest Guide to Successful Living).  Published in 1955, I found it on my parents' bookshelf when I was a kid, and spent many hours poring over insightful articles, inspiring stories, and even a few jokes!

Years passed and by the time I wanted to read it again, my parents must have given the book away.  Enter, of course, Amazon.  I could not believe how easy it was to find a copy of this 57-year old book in very good condition.  The most amazing part?  Including shipping, it was less than $7.00.  A small price to pay for a whole lot of goodness!

One reason I started my other blog, Optimystically, is to have a chance to share some of the positive thinking resources I've found helpful over the years.  Today there's a little piece from this book, and I hope you'll come over and visit!

Especially since there are sometimes thoughtful comments I'd like to respond to but the commenter has a no-comment email address, I'm trying another tactic In the never-ending battle of indecision between responding to comments by email or answering them on the blog -- I'll do both! Of course, they'll be the same reply in both places ;)
