One of the most meaningful books I've ever read was Keys to Happiness (A Reader's Digest Guide to Successful Living). Published in 1955, I found it on my parents' bookshelf when I was a kid, and spent many hours poring over insightful articles, inspiring stories, and even a few jokes!
Years passed and by the time I wanted to read it again, my parents must have given the book away. Enter, of course, Amazon. I could not believe how easy it was to find a copy of this 57-year old book in very good condition. The most amazing part? Including shipping, it was less than $7.00. A small price to pay for a whole lot of goodness!
One reason I started my other blog, Optimystically, is to have a chance to share some of the positive thinking resources I've found helpful over the years. Today there's a little piece from this book, and I hope you'll come over and visit!

I remember reading this when I was a kid. Hoe fun that you found it again. :)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you come from a family of positive thinkers! Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
ReplyDeleteI buy a lot of used books on Amazon too. Some are expensive but just picked up one for 1.97 plus shipping! :)
ReplyDeleteLove that Amazon shopping where you can find a book from years ago for as little as a penny plus shipping. I have ordered so many.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.

I love finding books I remember fondly but don't have on Amazon! It is so helpful for that kind of thing. I'll have to look for this one.
